February Meet Final Plan
Okay guys, seems like the 13th of February is the best option:D

Here is the new plan

February Valentines Mini Meet at the Wallace Collection

Sat 13th Feb 12:00 – 5:00ish

A gorgeous day of art and beautiful antique furniture gazing. Followed by tea in the Wallace Collection conservatory restaurant.

Meet outside the front entrance of Selfridges on Oxford St at 12:00. (I will be there from 11:30)

Nearest Tubes:
Bond St – 1min
Marble Arch – 2min
Oxford Circus – 5min

We will be gathering there until 12:30. Selfridges is quite easy to find but I am happy to swap numbers and meet people before hand if they think they may get lost. Likewise anybody worried about delayed trains etc I can PM you with my number.

MORE INFO:

The Wallace Collection
Located a couple of streets behind Selfridges on Oxford St. Mr Wallace left his art collection and his beautiful town house to the nation (what a nice chap!), so it’s not your typical massive London gallery, more like looking round the most beautiful ultimate loli home ever. Entry is FREE.

I will rebook our table in the Wallace resturant for the Saturday for around 15 people. I imagine that as this is all a bit late notice it may be a mini meet rather than full-on frill invasion but once we have an idea of numbers than I can change this if needed.

Jess's Lolita Valentines Card Activity
Because it the day of ‘love’ everyone must bring a Valentines card to be given to another Lolita. This will work somewhat like a lucky dip. Buy/make your Valentines card writing it to a ‘darling Lolita friend’ or ‘lovely loli’ (no names) and signing it anonymously. Underneath that write/draw a little clue as to your identity. The cards will all be entered into a lucky dip and distributed over teatime where we can all enjoy trying to work out who our cards came from.

We will be getting kicked out of the Wallace Collection at 5:00pm!

We have a choice of activities for the evening. Firstly is going to see the Princess and the Frog at the Troc. The film should be released today so I will be able to get a better idea of film times (Cineworld website has been a bit unhelpful so far). Tickets are £8.

Primark Dinosaurs! This is an animatronic display near Marble Arch tube http://www.dinosaursunleashed.co.uk/home.php
This does look quite awesome. Expensive though (£15 a ticket for adults and £13 for students) and we may have to queue for a while.

Edit 2

I have rebooked a table for 2:30 on Saturday. The table is for 15 and I have 15 confirmed so far. As we are having afternoon tea rather than a full on meal I imagine more can be squeezed in, but just keep this in mind.

When I'm a very rich man with a lovely house and huge art collection remind me to leave it the nation!
lowly_concubinelowly_concubine on February 5th, 2010 11:20 am (UTC)
Yaay! I am hoping that it's showing by then. I am most disappointed that the first Disney Princess since Pocahontas isn't getting more attention!
blondedebatesblondedebates on February 5th, 2010 12:53 pm (UTC)
lol, I keep telling you - the last Disney Princess film was Beauty and the Beast!

Come on Louise, get it right! You know what happened to the girl in maccy ds who got her fairytales wrong...
lowly_concubinelowly_concubine on February 5th, 2010 03:42 pm (UTC)
Lol I had forgotton about that, how could she have mistaken a dress with apples and dwarfs on for Cinderella!

I think Pocahontas should count as a Princess, wasn't her Dad a chief? Ariel's Dad was a sea god of some sort which technically makes her a demi goddess or something
blondedebatesblondedebates on February 5th, 2010 03:55 pm (UTC)
Pocahontas totes counts as a princess but that doesn't fix the fact that Beauty and the Beast came out after Pocahontas. Therefore Belle was the last Disney Princess (unless you count Jasmine but she didn't have the main role)

Go to your room young lady and watch your Disney videos!!! *stern face*
Hayley Sherriffdanyata on February 5th, 2010 07:44 pm (UTC)
Beauty and the Beast was released 1991 and Pocahontas was 1995.

THEREFORE I AM NOW THE QUEEN OF DISNEY.
lowly_concubinelowly_concubine on February 8th, 2010 01:06 pm (UTC)
I am impressed with the Disney knowledge, perhaps I should get together a Disney Princess Pub quiz for lunch!

(you would be on my team!)
Hayley Sherriffdanyata on February 8th, 2010 10:40 pm (UTC)
DO THIS.
blondedebatesblondedebates on February 8th, 2010 04:51 pm (UTC)
You are the queen of Disney and I fail and remember my childhood wrong!!! XD
Hayley Sherriffdanyata on February 8th, 2010 10:41 pm (UTC)
I only remember that because I remember going to see Beauty and the Beast before my sister was born, which was in 1992!
a_shi_raa_shi_ra on February 5th, 2010 01:19 pm (UTC)
Cool, I'm coming but will proberly have to leave about 5/6 ish annway so I don't mind what you do after that. If there's space do you mind if my sister comes?
lowly_concubinelowly_concubine on February 5th, 2010 03:47 pm (UTC)
I should think that will be fine, the more the merrier!
a_shi_raa_shi_ra on February 5th, 2010 05:47 pm (UTC)
Cool, I'll book train tickets and start making a card ^^
a_shi_raa_shi_ra on February 5th, 2010 05:49 pm (UTC)
Forgot to ask, how much is need for tea?
lowly_concubinelowly_concubine on February 8th, 2010 01:04 pm (UTC)
I had a look at the resturant menu and you can have a Cornish cream tea for £12.50 (tea, scones and sandwiches) or a full afternoon tea for £19.50. Individual cakes start at £2 and they have proper cooked food if you fancied something more substantial.
pixie_latepixie_late on February 5th, 2010 01:58 pm (UTC)
YAYY! I'm in!! I dunno about my Richie so it's ME for definite for now!

boykitten on February 5th, 2010 10:07 pm (UTC)

Aww, busy then too. Well, unless the whole thing gets cancelled, which is looking possible at the moment. :/
lowly_concubinelowly_concubine on February 8th, 2010 01:06 pm (UTC)
Boo, I will have you as a maybe, text me if you can make it
boykitten on February 8th, 2010 03:14 pm (UTC)

Scratch me off - the 7th punter has paid up and we only have 6 models so I'm definitely going to be needed.
And realistically, looking at my bank balance, the £7ph is something I could really do with. :/

Hopefully next time. Will I see you at Lolita in Wonderland?
Stotalximmortal on February 6th, 2010 01:21 am (UTC)
I may be able to get my arse down there :)

Yay!! I look forward to seeing you ♥ We'll be able to stay until 5pm-ish, after that my husband and I will probably need to start heading back to Cambridge, it all depends on whether the poor darling can take too much activity in one day XD
pixie_latepixie_late on February 7th, 2010 01:22 pm (UTC)
Aw yay would be good to see you again!
mini_autumnrosemini_autumnrose on February 8th, 2010 09:02 pm (UTC)
I think I can allow myself the time off so count me in! :D
ex_oneremem on February 8th, 2010 09:29 pm (UTC)
I may be able to come (with the bf) but we'd be late! About 2pm roughly because we have to go to our hotel first and i'd already booked trains so we could possibly meet you there? =)
